Vintage Biker Pulp Magazine Art Collection
BARBARIANS ON BIKES compiles three decades of biker pulp magazine covers and interior illustrations from the 1950s through early 1970s, most unseen since original publication. This deluxe hardcover edition preserves the raw, untamed artwork that defined men's adventure magazines during their peak era.
What's Inside This Collection
The book features original pulp magazine covers with headlines like "Sex Rampage of the Cycle Savages," "Big Mama's Killer Cycle Army," "Cross-Country Blast With 'Satan's Riders'," and "Cycle Queens of Violence." Each piece represents the distinctive illustration style that characterized mid-century men's adventure publishing.
This hardcover edition includes 20 bonus pages of additional biker pulp art, showcasing belted and booted motorcycle gang imagery. Editors Robert Deis (MensPulpMags.com) and Wyatt Doyle (CRYPTOZOOLOGY ANTHOLOGY) provide historical context and analysis of the artwork and cultural period. Crime novelist and former LAPD detective Paul Bishop contributes an afterword examining the reality behind the pulp fiction narratives.
