About the Author
Tijuana Collier is a retired Army lieutenant colonel. In 2010, she was diagnosed with scarred alopecia, an autoimmune disease that resulted in hair loss. She hopes to inspire others with her story as she encourages, promotes, and celebrates those who are different. Khaila Ramey-Collier is a Duke University alumna and former collegiate cheerleader. She earned a bachelor of science (with distinction) in psychology and now attends the Duke University School of Medicine.
