About Director Kazuto Nakazawa
Born in Niigata Prefecture in 1968, Nakazawa gained international recognition directing the animated sequences in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003). He contributed character designs and animation supervision to Shinichiro Watanabe's Samurai Champloo (2004) and created award-winning work including Linkin Park's "Breaking the Habit" music video (MTV VMA Viewer's Choice Award 2004).
His commercial work includes the Gold Winner at the 22nd London International Awards for Asience: Fairy Tale (2007). From 2012, he directed opening sequences for Kuroko's Basketball and contributed to Terror in Resonance (2014). Considered one of Japan's top animators, Nakazawa brings his distinctive visual style to every project.
