Dr. José Luis Stevens brings extensive credentials and authentic shamanic training to this work. He completed a ten-year apprenticeship with a Huichol marakame and has studied with Amazonian Shipibo and Andean Q'ero shamans for twenty years. As an international lecturer, psychologist, and licensed clinical social worker with a doctorate in integral counseling from the California Institute of Integral Studies, he bridges indigenous wisdom with contemporary understanding.

Dr. Stevens has authored eighteen books and numerous articles on shamanic practice. He serves on the board of the Society of Shamanic Practitioners and cofounded the Power Path School of Shamanism and the Center for Shamanic Education and Exchange.
