Description
Details: Arthur Fiedler, the long-time conductor of the Boston Pops orchestra, the symphony orchestra that specializes in light classical and popular music, became the first orchestra of it's kind to record a bona fide disco album in 1979. Inspired by the hit movie "Saturday Night Fever," Fiedler & The Boston Pops recorded an album comically titled "Saturday Night Fiedler," containing a medley of some of the biggest disco hits of the day and "Bachamania," in which Bach goes disco! Presented here is a newly remastered, expanded edition of the hit album, containing single edits of all the original songs from the medley presented individually, plus a single edit of "Bachamania" and the original 7" vinyl edit of "Night On Disco Mountain" b/w "Disco Inferno," the only single released from the album.
