Faia, Michele: - Michele Faia holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in art and began her career as a community college art history instructor. For years she has been dedicated to encouraging the quest for creativity in others. She began painting mandalas, or sacred circles, after having a vision while being treated for a chronic illness. Inspired to teach this type of inner art, she began teaching watercolor mandala making in 1992. She continues teaching, painting and writing books about the profound healing and heart opening ability of mandalas. She also continues to use them herself for healing.
