Ira Nayman is a star in a distant part of the galaxy dreaming he is a satirical science fiction writer. He has written five humourous SF novels published by Elsewhen Press, the most recent of which is The Multiverse is a Nice Place to Visit, But I Wouldn't Want to Live There. ARNS and the Man is the eighth book in the Alternate Reality News Service series. ARNS sends reporters into other universes and has them write news stories about what they find there. It has been described by readers as "a science fiction version of The Onion." All of these works grew out of his Web site of social and political satire, Les Pages aux Folles. Updated weekly, the Web site had its 15th birthday in the first week of September, 2017. That's positively Paleolithic for the Internet! When not trying to be humourous all over the place Ira has a Masters in Media Studies fromm the New School for Social Research and a PhD in Communications from McGill University. He taught part-time for five years in the New Media programme at Ryerson University. Ira's science fiction is most often compared to that of Douglas Adams. While flattering, he claims that his influences are more diffuse, including Tom Robbins, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Buster Keaton and the Marx brothers. You wouldn't want to argue with him - he has a lot of star power...
