Arnocorps has spent 25 years being all three at once-and doing it better than anyone.The premise is this: Arnocorps are Austrian expat action hero musicians. Their ancient alpine folklore, heroic legends of survival, strength, and defiance, has been brazenly exploited by Hollywood and, as this release makes clear, by Japanese megacorporations. The band exists to reclaim those legends and deliver them the way they were meant to be heard: as Action-Adventure Hardcore Rock 'n' Roll. If those legends happen to bear a striking resemblance to the filmography and commercial work of Arnold Schwarzenegger, that is a matter for the press to foolishly debate.Here's what is not up for debate: Arnocorps is a real band, with a real catalog, a ferocious live show, and a global audience that has been showing up with face paint, camouflage, and smiles for over two decades. We sign bands.Big Noodle Energy features two new tracks. "Alinamin Bui" is the world's first song sung entirely in Japanese with a ballsy Austrian accent. It is a driving anthem of encouragement, resilience, and collective empowerment, reclaiming a series of Schwarzenegger energy drink commercials as the battle cry it always deserved to be. "Cup Noodle" is something else altogether: a sonically cinematic journey through defiance and self-definition, built on the distinctive interplay of two bass guitars (one lead, one rhythm), that has become an Arnocorps hallmark.The lineup for this record is a reunion worth noting. Original drummer Gellend Adler returns alongside bassists Karl Dichtschnur and Inzo Der Barrakuda, guitarists Erich Nagelbett, Öddum Kriegtroll, and Vielmehr Klampfe, and the unmistakable vocals of Holzfeuer. This is a band at full strength, 25 years in, still doing something no one else is doing.The mythology is the delivery mechanism. The music is the point.
