Ariel's Loss: A Western Double - Paperback

Some loves survive time. Ariel and Profit's must survive temptation, curses...and the end of the world.

In Ariel's Loss, Weatherford "Profit" Profit is cursed to love the mysterious Tarbert Hilbush after seeing her without her veil. Desperate to break the spell-and determined to keep Ariel out of danger-Profit seeks help from Evelyn, a young palmist who knows far more about his future than she should. But when Ariel's grandmother, April Lazlo, discovers that Evelyn is another Virgin Blood, a journey across time carries Profit into the heart of a conflict he barely understands.

Stranded among dwarves, knights, and enemies determined to hasten the apocalypse, Profit awakens after a night he cannot remember to discover he has been chosen as the Queen of the Dwarfs' champion. Now he must face Jacques de Molay and his Knights Templar in a battle that could alter the fate of countless souls-all while struggling against a curse that threatens his marriage, his family, and everything he loves.

In Trapped Between the Worlds, Profit and Evelyn attempt to travel to Johnstown to prevent the catastrophic flood of 1889. Instead, they are poisoned and imprisoned within a dream world where every desire feels real-and free will no longer exists. As the Queen of the Dwarfs and Tarbert Hilbush close their trap around them, Ariel and April follow a trail of clues from seventeenth-century Scotland to a realm of fairies and finally to the isthmus where Profit and Evelyn are being held.

With reality unraveling and temptation becoming its own kind of prison, Ariel must fight to reclaim the man she loves before he is lost to her forever. But can Profit overcome curses, manipulation, and his own worst impulses-or will Ariel's Profit finally become Ariel's loss?
