Aradia Or The Gospel Of The Witches - Hardcover

Aradia Or The Gospel Of The Witches is a book written by Charles G. Leland in the late 19th century. The book is based on the author's research on Italian folklore and witchcraft, particularly on the goddess Aradia and her teachings to the witches of Tuscany. The book is divided into fifteen chapters, each containing poems, spells, and rituals that were allegedly passed down from the ancient pagan religion of Italy. The book claims to be a sacred text of witchcraft and a guide to the practice of witchcraft. It has been influential in the development of modern Wicca and other neo-pagan religions. The book is controversial and has been criticized for its authenticity and accuracy. Despite this, it remains a significant work in the history of witchcraft and pagan spirituality. When a wizard, a worshipper of Diana, one who worships the Moon, desires the love of a woman, he can change her into the form of a dog, when she, forgetting who she is, and all things besides, will at once come to his house, and there, when by him, take on again her natural form and remain with him. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
