Born in Webster County in 1924, her whole life has been in West Virginia with rare forays beyond the state line. She was a farmer and miner's wife who raised seven children and provided a refuge home for needy family members. She worked all her life, but only started writing poetry in middle age
Gosden, Roger: -I am a British and American scientist whose career in reproductive science spanned from Cambridge, England, to Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. I now divide my life between Williamsburg, Virginia, and West Virginia as a writer, visiting scholar at William & Mary, beekeeper, and Virginia Master Naturalist. I launched Jamestowne Bookworks LLC in 2012 to publish memoirs in science and medicine and recently in other genres.
