Back on screen after an eight-year hiatus, Daniel Day-Lewis stars as ex-soldier Ray Stoker, whose two-decade hermit's existence in the woods of Northern England ended with the arrival of his brother Jem (Sean Bean). Over the course of the tense visit, the depths of Ray's damage are revealed, as well as his issues with an abandoned family that Jem needs him to confront.
