Dr. Wesley Gerig taught for 51 years at Fort Wayne Bible College, Summit Christian College and now Taylor University Fort Wayne (TUFW), retiring from full-time teaching in June 2008. Dr. Wes, as he was known around the campus, was Professor of Bible, Theology, and Biblical Languages. While teaching over just about every book of the Bible, Paul's Epistle to the Romans was one that Dr. Wes held close to his heart. For many of his teaching years, Romans was a class that every Fort Wayne Bible College graduate had to take and pass in order to receive their degree. Besides teaching, Dr. Wes has also served many churches as interim pastor, offering biblical teaching and counsel during times of pastoral transition. He has also traveled the world, leading three trips to the Middle East, as well as lecturing in the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Greece, Jamaica, Japan, the Philippines, Russia and Taiwan. Dr. Wes and his late wife, Mary Carolyn served the Lord together for over 55 years and have four grown children and 12 grandchildren.
