Swift, Dave: - Dave Swift grew up in San Diego, California, where he started his skateboard journey. He was a sponsored amateur skateboarder and Del Mar Skate Ranch local through the rest of the 1980s. In 1989 he was hired as an editorial assistant at Transworld Skateboarding. At this time, he picked up photography with the help of his co-worker J. Grant Brittain and began a lifelong career in photo journalism.
