It's Halloween, so why are Alex and Lisa giving cookies and saying, "Happy Reformation Day"?
Instead of trick-or-treating, Alex and his sister are giving people treats and wishing them Happy Reformation Day-except maybe at the spooky house. Will they be brave enough to stop there? Why are they giving treats instead of asking for them?
As an alternative to Halloween trick-or-treating, Alex and Lisa share cookies and tell people about Reformation Day. They learn the joy of giving and discover that God gives back abundantly.
Alex's Un-Halloween presents an alternative to trick-or-treating on Halloween and introduces children to a part of church history, the Reformation. The book also shows that the children overcome fear, learn the joy of sharing, and witness how God can bless them.
