Camille Howland Mariani, retired college public relations director, journalist, and newspaper editor, is the author of several magazine articles, as well as the SUNY Canton College history, Seventy Years of Change. On returning to her home city of Twin Ports, Maine, Dee Major learns that her mother, Aletha, is dead. Officials call the hanging a suicide.
