Behavioral health consultants (BHCs) are an increasingly essential part of primary care teams.
This book offers advanced guidance for BHCs working in integrated care settings, drawing on the Primary Care Behavioral Health Consultation Model. Author Stacy Ogbeide presents practical strategies to help experienced BHCs manage complex clinical presentations, collaborate effectively with teams within health systems, provide supervision and clinical training, engage in community health initiatives, and address systemic and other barriers to care. As key contributors to interdisciplinary efforts, advanced BHCs play a vital role in promoting health equity and addressing social determinants of health. This book offers valuable insight and direction to support their expanding scope of practice and evolving professional identity.Languages:EnglishPublisher:American Psychological Association (APA)ISBN-13:9781433845550ISBN-10:1433845555UPC:9781433845550Book Category:Psychology, MedicalBook Subcategory:Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, Preventive MedicineSize:8.99 x 6.05 x 0.37 inchesWeight:0.236Product ID:SC3ZKDHH2Z
