Varese: Short Portrait

The music of Edgard Varèse has it's own unique chromatic grammar and compositional style. Raw sound replaces notes and adds a spatial dimension. Timbre becomes a fabulous spectral variable exploited by Varèse without the help of today's electro-acoustic or digital resources. Coherence is provided by rhythm, the true conductor.
