Jerry Shine's writing and photography have appeared in hundreds of publications worldwide, including such magazines as Audubon, Wired and National Geographic Adventure. This is his third book. He writes mainly about the ocean, which he's been looking at it and wondering what was happening underneath for as long as he can remember. His specialty is photographing and writing about creatures that live within steps of the shoreline. There's nothing Jerry loves as much as spending time on, under, or near the water with family and friends, and he hopes to keep doing so well into his hundreds. He currently lives in Somerville, MA with his stunning wife, Daisy, and their incredible son, Zeke.
