When her youngest child left home, Ann Martin Ridings felt the world shift. After raising five boys and the daily rituals of care that goes with that, she found herself lying on the couch amid crumbs, memories, and a sudden quiet.

"A Woven Woman" is a lyrical, hybrid memoir composed in a distinct style- a stream of diary, poem, essay and observation-held together by emotional through-lines rather than chronology. She uncovers motherhood, childhood, artistic identity, ancestral traces, and the hidden cartographies of a woman's life.

Tender, perceptive, and beautifully wrought, "A Woven Woman" reminds us that the stories we live-and the stories we revisit-give us the insight to weave a new life choosing the warp and weft of our realized selves.

Ridings, Ann Martin: - Ann Martin Ridings is a memoirist, painter, and mother of five whose work explores motherhood, identity, and personal transformation. Raised in Connecticut in a bohemian, art steeped family, she spent her early life immersed in poetry, drawing, and the natural world. A former social worker, Ann eventually designed a class called "Wise Women, Wise Mothers" for women to rediscover themselves. It was from her empty nest that the class came to light, and after a decade of teaching, came the inspiration to write "A Woven Woman." She still writes and inspires women to gather around spiritual and creative topics.
