A Woman Like That - Paperback

A Woman Like That bears witness to the quiet ache of womanhood shaped in the absence of a mother or child's embrace. In these pages, absence is transformed into inheritance-at once wound and compass-guiding voices that have learned to mother themselves. The collection is raw, lyrical, and unflinching, holding a mirror to the solitude, resilience, and fierce beauty that rise from such loss. This chapbook is a chorus of truths-haunting, tender, and enduring-that cut to the bone and remain with the reader long after the final page. -Julie Anderson, Editor of Feminine Collective A Woman Like That, chants and suspends, discovers and doubts... pulls you through a series of small, shifting, shining losses that take you back to yourself. -FU Berlin Review In A Woman Like That, poet TAK Erzinger-whose fine poems have graced the pages of The Galway Review-recasts the haunting spirit of Anne Sexton's "Her Kind" into a chapbook of vivid vignettes, each tracing the contours of a woman's life shaped beyond the reach of traditional maternal bonds.
