A Visitor in Van Meter - Paperback

From the team behind the Midnight Cryptid Club web series comes this delightful coming-of-age story about making tough choices, standing up to big bullies, and, of course, fighting off an enormous half-bat-half-bird hybrid monster.

Chris Delehant is getting ready for the worst day of his life: the first day of sixth grade. After a sudden move to the middle of nowhere, he struggles to keep up with his genius siblings, connect with his busy parents, or find anything in common with his new peers. After all, you don't find many half-Hispanic kids in small-town Iowa. In fact, you don't find much of ANYTHING in small-town Iowa...or so Chris thought. But when a first-day-of-school detention lands him in the path of a giant, ten-foot creature of legend, he must harness his bravery and lean on his family to unearth a new world of fascinating creatures and a cover-up conspiracy that goes straight to the top. Join us for the first installment of this action-packed series that the whole family can enjoy!

The mission behind The Midnight Cryptid Club is to inspire children and adults alike to rediscover the legends in their own communities and develop a deeper connection to the natural world around them.
