Risa Hugo is the illustrator of a number of children's books, including Why Are You So Quiet?, Leopold's Leotard and M?tis Like Me. She is the author-illustrator of the picture book Shadow. Risa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She spent most of her childhood living between Japan and Canada, and currently resides in British Columbia with her family.
