Would you defy fate to save a friend?
In the war-scarred village of Nakhan, a sickly boy and a blind girl are bound by a promise neither time nor tragedy can sever.
Derjaun Vin Gruinelle was born to become a Guardian, but a wasting illness and a village that has turned cold against him leave him facing death alone-until a brutal night reveals the depth of his courage and the truth about his heart.
Halo, blind and underestimated, is thrust into a storm of grief, rage, and purpose when Derjaun vanishes. Refusing to let his story end in silence, she demands a place among the elite Guardians, setting off on a perilous path to find him-even if it means sacrificing everything she knows.
A Promise Kept is an epic fantasy rich with political tension, survival, slow-burning romance, and the raw ache of chosen family. For readers craving powerful female leads, emotionally charged storytelling, and a fantasy world with depth and darkness, this gripping debut offers a fierce and unforgettable journey.
This tale does not shy from the violence of men, the complexities of love, or the sacrifices demanded by destiny.
