Into the warm purple and pink hues of a sunrise, and into the turquoise depths of the ocean. This bridge takes you to where my heart needs to believe you are. Somewhere safe. I cannot cross that bridge with you even though I am desperate to stay by your side. Every mother stands at the base of this bridge, gazing longingly at our angel babies' fading footprints.
