This book tries to describe what is actually traveling through the mind of the average hunter as he tries to remain stock still while silently sitting in total darkness waiting for the sun to rise in the morning or waiting for the sun to set in the afternoon. He can't move. But his mind is free to wander wherever it pleases, and it often does as he drifts off to places far from where he actually is. There is no doubt that "expert" hunters possess the ability to remain totally focused throughout the entire waiting period. Most of us don't.
