A Heart for Children - Paperback

Working as the organic gardener in a home for abused and neglected children in Germany, Louise thought she had found her calling. Little did she know that she would be asked to leave it all behind in order to begin a similar program in her native United States. Through her grief, loss, and finally joy, Louise chronicles God's great faithfulness in creating for wounded and homeless children the Salem Children's Home and School in Western Maryland. There, bringing peace and healing to young people who have known only brokenness and pain, God has shown Himself to be a "Father to the fatherless."
