Seeking quiet retirement in post-World War II Venice, Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) finds himself entreated to the ancient palazzo of a retired opera star (Kelly Reilly), and asked to debunk the famous spiritualist (Michelle Yeoh) offering to contact the diva's late daughter. As murders follow, the sleuth finds his trained skepticism shaken by phenomena even he can't explain.
