Florin Curta, Ph.D. (1998), Western Michigan University, is a professor of medieval history and archaeology at the University of Florida. He has published numerous monographs and articles, as well as edited several volumes, including Eastern Europe in the Middle Ages, 500-1300 (Brill, 2019).
Liviu Pilat, Ph.D. (2007), Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, is a professor of medieval and early modern history at that university. He recently co-edited From Pax Mongolica to Pax Ottomanica: War, Religion and Trade in the Northwestern Black Sea Region, 14th-16th Centuries (Brill, 2020).
