"ቀለም እና ምክንያት" "Color and Reason" is an intimate collection of 17 short essays drawn primarily from the author's lived experiences in South Korea and Ethiopia. Blending cultural observation with personal reflection, the book explores how identity, memory, and place shape the way we think, feel, and live. As the author moves between East Africa and East Asia, the essays offer a compelling perspective on the challenges and insights that come with crossing cultural boundaries while preserving a sense of self. From the vibrant streets of Gangnam and Korea's diverse landscapes to the deep-rooted traditions and rich cultures across Ethiopian cities, these stories invite readers to reflect on the meaning found in everyday encounters and the shared human experiences that connect us across borders. By highlighting the stark contrasts in living conditions between the two countries, the essays raise thought-provoking questions about development, identity, and culture, precisely the kind of reflection the author hopes to inspire.
