Because children love to have stories read to them, we start there at age 5. The reader, (parent, grandparent, teacher, sibling, friend, or other) should begin to read the book on December 18th, and follow with a chapter each day until Christmas Eve. The seven chapter book can be read with the child at ages 6 and 7. That means that the child can follow the text and read words or parts of the chapters at this stage of reading development.
