This is the most recent edition of this book which I first authored about 20 years ago. It is clearly the best of all. It's sole purpose is to provide a simple workbook tool to allow members of Alcoholics Anonymous, with the help of their sponsors, to navigate the 12 Steps to recovery in an efficient and ""Keep it Simple"" way. There are 2 main reasons why this edition is better than ever before: (1) This is the 1st time I've retained a publishing company (Bookside Press) to help reach more AA members and to help me write a better workbook, and (2) This is the first time I've asked other members of AA to review my manuscript and suggest changes - specifically, my sponsor with 48 years sober and one of my sponsees who has 7 years sober. I am sure this workbook will help increase the number of sober alcoholics in the world thereby making the world a better place.

Pastal, Iam: - "Iam Pastal grew up in a family of 5 children learning good discipline, morals and respect taught to them by their very good parents. After high school Iam pursued college and a professional career which provided him with a large salary. He got married at the age of 26 and he and his wife had two children. After 17 years of marriage, Iam and his wife separated and divorced. Overnight his drinking skyrocketed and his job performance crumbled. For the next 4 years he lost nearly everything - He was fired from his job and his family had totally given up on him (except for his two children). Losing all hope, he attempted suicide in 1996. As a result of joining Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), he had his last drink in August of 1997.In 2006, Iam got married to a woman 31 years younger than him; he truly robbed the cradle! Today, they live with their 3 children, ages 18, 11 and 7, in Southwest Florida. Mrs. Pastal is gainfully employed as a Home Health Aid while Iam stays very busy with his AA activities.Iam and his wife had two tragedies they had to endure. At the end of 2006, their first child was stillborn and in 2009 they had a newborn little girl who passed away when she was only two months old caused by severe health complications at birth. Iam never thought of drinking during these tragic times. The spiritual program of Alcoholics Anonymous has given Iam a God Who wants him to be happy, joyous and free and a way of life which is beyond anything he ever dreamed. He loves AA so much that other members laugh when they hear him sing his favorite jingle: "I am stuck on AA, 'cause AA's stuck on me!""
