Sounds of Kabuki

Classic audiophile recording of an authentic Japanese ensemble performing music that traditionally accompanies the highly stylized ancient Japanese dance and drama theater known as Kabuki. This recording features the vocalists Ijyuuro Yoshimura and Shinzo Fujita, accompanied by the National Kabuki Company. Instruments featured are the shamisen, a type of Japanese lute, and kodaiko - a small Japanese drum. All selections newly remastered.
