Vintage Art: The Model Book of Calligraphy: 30 Calligraphy Fine Art Prints features a curated collection of calligraphy by Georg Bocksay (1510-1575) and illustrations drawn by Joris Hoefnagel (1542-1601). Croatian born Georg Bocksay, published The Model Book of Calligraphy to showcase different styles of calligraphy. Some thirty years later, after the death of Bocksay, a Flemish painter Joris Hoefnagel was commissioned to illustrate the book. Hoefnagel added illustrations of insects, fruits and flowers, thus making The Model Book of Calligraphy (Mira calligraphiae monumenta) one of the most interesting artistic collaborations. The prints are one sided and can be removed from the book by either using a box cutter or scissors, the illustrations are ideal for either framing or art and craft projects.
