Serious compositions for brass ensemble used to perform at hunting events are the focus of this album. Jagdhornbläser Usedom writes: "We are a group of motley wind instruments, which primarily play the parforce horn in E flat major. Classical concerts and Hubertus fairs are just as much a part of our repertoire as the musical accompaniment of drag hunts, e.g. with the Mecklenburg pack. With our music we would like to involve hunters, riders and hunting music enthusiasts in maintaining tradition and present them to a broad public." The ensemble was founded in 1998, and to this day maintains a busy performance calendar.
