Want to be a better trout fisherman? Of course, you do. But these fish are complicated, aren't they? Actually, they're not as perplexing as you give them credit for. In fact, what confuses fishermen the most is our reluctance to accept some simple truths.

Walt Fulps has built a reputation as the Ozarks' premier trout guru "Missouri Trout Hunter." He's guided countless clients on Missouri trout streams and has taught hundreds of students how to fly fish. He's published dozens of articles and has given many presentations on trout and fly fishing across the Midwest. He's finally put his four-plus decades of experience into a book that will change the way you hunt trout.

This book will make you a better fisherman.

Fulps, Walter E.: - Walt Fulps was born in San Diego, California to a military family. He discovered trout when stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, during elementary school and began teaching himself to fly fish in 1978. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1992 with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation and spent most of his early career working in the areas of experiential and adventure therapy. After returning to the Missouri Ozarks in 2002, he designed and published the website www.MissouriTroutHunter.com and almost immediately began developing a following. Since then, he guided and taught fly-fishing, including hosting annual salmon fly-fishing trips to Prince of Wales Island, Alaska until he retired from professional fishing in 2019. Walt and Linda have been married since 1992, and they have a son, Patrick, a software engineer.
