This book is the only one its kind to showcase the different styles, designs, themes and materials used by the Czechoslovakian artisans to create their beautiful costume jewelry. Other books that have been written about costume jewelry have usually devoted just a single chapter to Czechoslovakian costume jewelry. Some others have discussed their history and the manufacturing process.

Timeless Treasures - An Identification Guide to Czechoslovakian Costume Jewelry 1918 - 1939 has 274 pages and 54 chapters with many color photos highlighting over 2600 pieces which include pins and brooches, belts, bracelets, necklaces and rings. Included is a bit of history without going into detail about the manufacturing process.

This book is a "must have" reference guide for sellers, collectors and anyone who is interested in costume jewelry.

Elwell, Aggie: - Aggie Elwell has had many collecting interests; however, it was her 1st piece of marked Czechoslovakian costume jewelry discovered at a flea market in Waterbury, Vermont in 1992, that piqued her curiosity about the origin and history of the unique piece she found -- for the negotiated price of 50 cents. She has researched and written about Czechoslovakian jewelry. As a member of the Czechoslovakian Collectors Association, she presented seminars on Czech costume jewelry and has written articles for the Journal of Czech Decorative Arts and co-authored an article for Unravel the Gavel.A selection of pieces from her costume jewelry collection was on exhibit at the National Czech & Slovak Museum in Cedar Rapids, Iowa from November 2017 until February 2018. She has donated several pieces to the permanent collection of the Czech Center Museum in Houston, Texas.Aggie has also travelled to the Czech Republic to do research at the Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou. While there she found that many of the pieces in her collection were also in the museum's collection.Having retired from her job as an Accountant and Payroll Administrator, she now had the time to write the book she has always wanted to write. She currently lives in Northfield, Vermont with her Cocker Spaniel, Lucy.
