The return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is drawing near. Jesus warned us to be ready and watching so that day does not catch us unaware. Preceding Jesus return will be a time of great tribulation. At the end of that tribulation period Christ will return, gathering His Children and pouring His wrath upon those who are destroying the earth. A popular theory emerged in about 1830 that postulated that the church would be raptured before the time of tribulation. The doctrine of a pre-tribulation rapture has permeated the culture of the American church embedding itself in church doctrine. To simply address this issue by highlighting the clear reading of Scripture is not sufficient for many people. Examine with me the pre-tribulation rapture theory. Is it sound doctrine or myth?
