The heart of forestry in America has an irregular heartbeat. The Berea College Forest is one of the oldest continously managed forests in the United States and provides a model of egalitarian forestry unmatched anywhere else. The author believes that the heartbeat of forestry can be restored by joining together again the arts and the sciences. Join the current Berea College Forester as he leads you on a wandering hike of exploration through the Berea College Forest and beyond.
