Led by vocalist Jerome Daniels, Soho People was a South Beach, Miami dance group that was responsible for popularizing the term "T-Dance" or Tea dances as those in the gay dance community adopted the term which was taken from the casual dances held in the early 20th century in England, usually preceded by a garden party.
