Although the Skull Snaps self titled album contains drum breaks that have been sampled many times on various hip-hop records by well known acts such as Ol' Dirty Bastard, Das EFX, Eric B. & Rakim, Digable Planets, DJ Shadow, Rob Dougan, Black Moon, Guru and the Prodigy, the funk group released only one album in 1973 before disappearing. The rare 1973 single from that album is presented here in it's original glory with the a and B side flipped, befitting the legendary status of "It's a New Day."
