Formed in Los Angeles by Chicago transplants Mark Breyer and David Winogrond, later joined by guitarist Bruce Wagner, Skooshny self-released a handful of singles on their own Alien Records label that earned glowing reviews - Bomp! Compared Breyer's voice to a young Brian Wilson and the music to a folkier Big Star - before becoming prized collector's items in Europe.
