Chicago-based Silas Short had a rough time growing up as a mixed-race child in the suburbs of Milwaukee, but he found solace and inspiration in music through his older brother who played drums for the church's gospel band. After Silas shattered a bone in his left hand while delivering pizzas and was told by a doctor that he'd never play guitar again, he stuck through the pain and went on to develop a method of guitar playing he describes as "Liquid Style".The seven pieces that make up Drawing are the product of Silas using the lockdowns of 2020 as an opportunity to discover his true sound.
