Sacred Liturgy in Bologna

What was the sound of the "sacred Bologna" that adorned the liturgical functions with organ music, voices and instruments? The Ensemble "San Pietro" replies to this question by presenting a complex intersection of unpublished musical itineraries that reflect the everyday musical life of Bologna, from Christmas to Pentecost passing through Holy Week, finally arriving at the feast of the Patron Saint Petronio, with a Solemn Mass in perfect 18th century "Bolognese style". The diversity of the music that makes up this album finds in common the provenance of the original scores, being taken from the Musical Fund of the Chapter of the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Pietro in Bologna.
