A talented soul singer and former member of the Los Angeles based 1960's R&B vocal trio The Invincibles, Dave Richardson is featured here on the ultra rare single "Mardi Gras Party" b/w "Mardi Gras Magic," originally released on the New Orleans based Stardom label in 1988. "Mardi Gras Magic" is a breezy, Caribbean flavored samba that extolls the virtues of the yearly Mardi Gras ceremony, with lots of shout outs to the local cuisine and characters that populate the yearly gathering. The flip side, "Mardi Gras Magic," is an instrumental version of the same tune. Finally available in the digital domain, this vintage single has been newly remastered for this exclusive release.
