In its brief existence from 1969 to 1973, the Italian design company NewLamp created no fewer than 55 lamp models, characterized by their innovative and highly modish form and construction. Founded by entrepreneur Mario Vento, its staff included such notable figures as Gianfranco Fini, Fabrizio Cocchia, Gianni Colombo and Giuseppe Ravasio. After only two years, in 1971, NewLamp was awarded the Europremio for furniture design.
