Performance Confidence Training Through Narrative Learning

My Lessons With Kumi presents psychological principles and performance skills through an engaging fictional narrative. Author Michael Colgrass, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and certified NLP trainer, combines neuro-linguistic programming, mime techniques, creativity training, hypnosis, psychology, and Grotowski physical training methods into a comprehensive self-development guide.

The book follows Nick's encounters with his teacher, Kumi, creating one of the most detailed self-development chronicles available. Through these lessons, readers learn practical techniques for performing with confidence in professional presentations, creative work, and everyday life situations.

What's Inside

This teaching tale integrates multiple disciplines into actionable lessons and exercises. The narrative format makes complex psychological concepts accessible while maintaining practical application. Readers gain exposure to techniques drawn from Colgrass's 45 years of professional performing experience and his work training over 25,000 people across six continents.

The methodology includes Deep Listening techniques for heightened concentration, strategies for creativity modeled by NLP co-founder John Grinder, and approaches featured in professional NLP publications. These methods have been applied in Excellence In Performance workshops for performers, students, and professional groups worldwide.
