His small, walk-up apartment is across the street from his favorite restaurant, Antonio's, where he often goes to drink at the bar. Now in his 80s, he struggles with loneliness and poor health.

Gus and Pete strike up an unexpected friendship that nobody else understands or really accepts. The two men provide the companionship they need at this point in their lives, but don't realize how much they count on each other until life tests them both.
