This 22 track CD contains the music of Reunion Island, a cultural meeting place located in the Mascarene Island group in the Indian Ocean, which also contains the Maurice and Rodrigues Islands. This collection presents for the first time a panorama of the popular creole big bands which used "fanfare"-style brass instruments in their music. Features L'Orchestra Toussaint (led by Miquel Toussaint) on 18 tracks and Les Cuivres Harnomiques du Sud (orchestra led by Henri Mahe) on 3 tracks.
