Beverly, Juan: - "At age ten, Juan discovered a passion for musical theater and was subsequently enrolled at The Arena Players Youtheatre in Baltimore, MD. The Youtheatre offered training in modern dance, drama, speech, mime, and vocal music. In Juan's eight-year tenure at The Arena Players, he performed various roles, ranging from a spider in Babes in Toyland, to the title role in Scrooge, A Christmas Carol. His theatrical range was further displayed by his title role performances in The Elephant Man and Othello. Other highlights of Juan's amateur acting career include a 3rd-place finish in the National ACT-SO Drama Competition for high school students and a TV role in The Baby Grand, which aired on ABC2 in cooperation with The Arena Players. Juan's love for theater did not end here. Juan continued developing his craft and portrayed one of the thieves on the cross - performing alongside Leon Isaac Kennedy in Don't Mess with Jesus. Juan has written and directed short skits and full-length plays for his church, Victorious Ministries International, where he has been a member since 1999. His Pastor, Tony Smith, encouraged him to broaden his gifts and talents by learning the industrial camera and video editing. Juan has edited numerous TV shows for ministry and his voice has been recorded on countless commercials and numerous audiobooks. Juan is now entertaining his grandchildren with original stories and songs and hopes that you and your family are equally entertained. Videos of his stories are found on the Brooklyn's Roses YouTube Channel. Juan thanks you for your interest and, with so much to share, he hopes you continue to enjoy the videos and print media."Beverly, Nicole: - Not only is Nicole the author's sister, but she is also a Freelance Communications Strategist providing proofreading, editing and copyright services.
